Outreach – bringing volunteering to you

Want to volunteer but can’t reach us? Then we can come to you!

 The VVB’s Outreach service ensures that people from around the Vale of Glamorgan – from Sully to Southerndown – have access to information about volunteering.

Chris our Outreach Officer hosts informal, friendly outreach sessions or offer advice, information and guidance on all your volunteering questions and queries – just as you would receive at our drop-in centre in Barry.  These sessions are held fortnightly in Penarth library and on request at locations across the Vale. If you would like to arrange a session in your community then please don’t hesitate to contact Chris in 01446 421 782. 

Other parts of the Outreach service include:

• Giving talks and presentations to local groups about volunteering
• Working with community groups and charities particularly in the rural Vale to develop new, exciting volunteer opportunities
• Hosting information stalls at events around the Vale
• Inviting guest organisations along to ‘Joint Outreach’ sessions to give you the chance to ask them more about their volunteering opportunities.
