Volunteers Week

 Volunteers Week is a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place from 1^st – 7^th June each year and has become a major event in the UK’s volunteering calendar.

 Volunteers Week aims to raise the profile of the work carried out by the UK’s 22 million volunteers.  This is a great opportunity for voluntary organisations to recruit new volunteers and raise the profile of volunteering.

 During this week there will be a mass of activity as private, public and voluntary organisations take part, by organising events such as awards celebrations, picnics, sponsored walks and competitions to reward and recognise the hard work and commitment given by volunteers to their communities.

 This is your chance to thank your volunteers for their hard work and commitment.
