Volunteers’ Week is a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place from 1 to 7 June each year. It plays a huge part in raising the profile of volunteers while encouraging others to get involved.
Volunteers’ Week began in 1984.
Each year more and more organisations get involved in the celebrations and participants take part in various events throughout Wales. These range from award presentations to setting-up information booths or sponsored walks and team challenge events.
Everyone is invited to join this national celebration of volunteering, and it’s up to you to decide how you get involved.
All kinds of groups and organisations get involved in planning local events, ranging from the high profile open days and volunteer award ceremonies to private social occasions for volunteers.
